The Core Beliefs of Christianity

Origin: Christianity is the religion based on the teachings and belief of Jesus, also known as Messiah or Christ. The Religion has its roots in Jerusalem, which is now the modern Israel. Christians believed that Jesus was God’s chosen messenger. They also believed that Jesus is capable of performing miracles. The followers of Jesus angered the Roman government because they refused to follow either Roman or Jewish laws. The authorities sentenced Jesus to death by nailing him to the cross. After three days of his death, Jesus was resurrected.

Justification by faith

The word Saint is used to refer to a Christian who has lived a good and holy life on earth. The saints are believed to perform miracles.  The title of Saint is conferred by the Orthodox and Roman Catholic churches, by a process called canonization. In the Bible, the word Saint is used to refer someone who is a devoted believer.

Prayer is the medium in which Christians communicate with God. The New Testament holds that Jesus taught his followers how to pray. He encouraged the followers to address God as Father.
